Posted by Bart Thrasher Finding the perfect home is not always an easy task. Often time, circumstances such as inventory, location, price, or timing influence the buyer's choice to purchase a home that may only fulfill 8 out of 10 items on their wish list. They say you can't have it all, but let's not give up too soon! With my background in design and home renovation, I've been able to guide my clients through the home buying process armed with more tools in the toolbox. Last year my client was looking to buy her first house after having living in a condo for years. Her list wasn't insurmountable: North Oak Cliff location, at least two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, and preferably something that had already been remodeled. We found this adorable cottage style home that checked off most of the items on her list, and even added a few. The kitchen had been immaculately remodeled which made the home a major contender. Unfortunately, the only bathroom hadn't been renovated. Not wanting to take on a project, my client was ready to walk away. This is when my design and construction expertise afforded us additional options.
To make an informed decision, we discussed simple design solutions to update the bathroom to fit her style. I was then able to present a construction estimate from experienced professionals I have a trusted history with. Once the green light was given, I stayed on task to manage the renovation while my client was on an extended holiday. She came home to her new house with a fresh new bathroom renovation: All the reward with none of the stress. Comments are closed.
